On September 20, 2024 the management team from Fox Hotel by Ascott, led by Hotel Manager Bob Yusof, accompanied by the Ascott Cluster Procurement Team, conducted an insightful visit to TC Poultry Farm. The visit was aimed at exploring sustainable sourcing practices, particularly focusing on poultry farming, egg collection, and feed production. The visit was facilitated by Dr. Saravanakumar S. Pillai, Senior Advisor Farm Animal Welfare,Policy & Engagement , Humane Society International. The Managing Director of TC Poultry Farm, Tiew Tien Siew, provided a comprehensive tour of the farm's facilities, including Malaysia's first aviary cage-free production barn.

Tour Highlights

1. Egg Collection Facility: The tour commenced with a visit to TC Poultry Farm's egg collection plant. Tiew Tien Siew provided a detailed explanation of the farm’s egg production process, emphasizing its commitment to ensuring high-quality, hygienic egg collection methods that adhere to the best industry practices. The advanced technology used in the egg collection process was showcased, highlighting how it contributes to improved efficiency and product quality.

2. Feed Mills: The delegation was taken to the feed mills, where they witnessed the formulation of high-nutrient poultry feed that adheres to global standards.
