TC Poultry Reinstates Certified Humane® Accreditation for Genki and JS Eggs, Strengthening Malaysia’s Leadership in Ethical Cage-Free Production
Kuala Lumpur ,10 August 2025 - Humane World for Animals and the Malaysia Cage-Free Egg Producers Organisation (MCFEPO) proudly congratulate Teong Choon Poultry Farm Sdn. Bhd. (TC Poultry) for successfully reinstating its Certified Humane® accreditation from the Humane Farm Animal Care (HFAC), USA. This recognition reaffirms TC Poultry’s steadfast dedication to advancing better welfare and sustainable farming, within Malaysia’s rapidly growing cage-free egg industry.
The certification, issued under HFAC’s internationally recognized “Raised and Handled®” program, verifies that TC Poultry’s cage-free operations fully comply with stringent global animal welfare standards. It ensures that hens are raised in spacious, enriched environments that allow natural behaviours such as nesting, perching, foraging, and dust-bathing. The renewed accreditation covers two key brands: Genki Cage-Free Eggs, TC Poultry’s flagship homegrown brand representing premium quality and better welfare farming values; and JS Eggs, the exclusive house brand of Jaya Grocer, which champions responsible sourcing and better welfare choices for Malaysian consumers.
