Element by Westin Kuala Lumpur Commits to Ethical Sourcing with Genki Cage-Free Eggs, Lauded by Farm Animal Welfare Expert
Kuala Lumpur, 15 August 2025 — Element by Westin Kuala Lumpur is embracing a more mindful approach to its all-day dining menu by collaborating with TC Farm. In a landmark move, the hotel will now feature ethically sourced Genki cage-free eggs in its kitchens, bringing guests a celebration of taste, quality, and compassion in every dish.
The collaboration has been hailed as a significant step forward for corporate responsibility in the hospitality sector. Dr. Saravanakumar S. Pillai, Senior Principal for Policy and Engagement in Farm Animal Welfare and Adviser to the Malaysia Cage-Free Egg Producers’ Organisation (MCFEPO), praised the hotel's initiative.
"Element Kuala Lumpur is showing that hotels can play a positive role by supporting cage-free producers," Dr. Pillai stated. "This kind of partnership helps build awareness while giving diners an experience that is both indulgent and responsible."
The initiative is powered by TC Poultry Farm’s Genki Cage-Free eggs, which are produced to higher welfare standards. Mr. Tiew Tien Sien, Managing Director of TC Poultry Farm, added, "Our Genki Cage-Free eggs come from hens that live with space to move, perch, nest, and dust-bathe just as nature intended.
Working with Element Kuala Lumpur means more people can taste the difference that comes from better welfare and care." By sourcing these cage-free eggs, Element Kuala Lumpur is proud to support the movement toward better animal welfare and sustainable food practices in Malaysia. Guests dining at the hotel will now experience a small but meaningful step toward food that reflects values of dignity, respect, and kindness.

In a show of collaborative support, Element Kuala Lumpur and TC Farm have also partnered on a special Merdeka Rasa Afternoon Tea giveaway.
